Where It All Began
I have always loved books and reading. I've kept a diary since I was a little girl. As a teenager, I doodled in the margins of my homework and wrote dramatic, romantic poems in my notebook instead of paying attention in class. I've kept and improved these poems over the years.
A while ago, I lost my main job. I wanted to start working towards something I really enjoyed doing. I wrote my first drafts of a few different children's stories, researched the writing and publishing process, and looked for opportunities to grow my skills and start turning writing into a career.
I feel drawn to writing stories about animals I've had, my childhood and family, my broken hearts, and broken friendships, but I mostly want to write things that make people feel good.
I have a few different jobs right now. I work at a little office supply store, which came in handy while I was going through the publishing process for Rosie and Teddy. Now that it's published, I'm selling my book in the store, and we have set up a couple of book readings. I also teach beginning ballet and dance, and I pick up odd jobs here and there.
My hobbies are dancing, theater, cooking, gardening, reading, and sometimes running. I want to make pressed flower art, tea, soap, and recycled paper, but each of these dreams will happen one step at a time, and I'm not there yet.
I have four cats. Yes, you read that right, four cats. Charlie, Tiger, Bear, and Midge. I love my parents, family, and boyfriend so much. They are the most important people in my life. I can't thank my friends and family enough for all the support they have given me.
I'm glad you found your way to the tip of my creativity. I hope you find joy and inspiration in my stories and that I leave you wanting more.
